Nic and Eva's world
Nicole Nicole Elias Artistic and nature photography is Nicole's photographic preference, looking into the subject and bringing out their artistic side. With keen eye on details, she creates images that not only captures your attention but draws you more into it. A tire in a river, a hole in a tree trunk, these seems to be obvious everyday things around us, capturing it and have the artistic flavor to make it a stunning image is the challenge of it all. I have to say that she creates absolute masterpieces from "obvious" things, a true artist can create art from anything and this is what she does in every photoshoot.
She not only a skilled photographer on the weekends, she's also a "culinary artist" most days she creates various different dishes from her jerk and curry powder she does wonders. To use the camera in both sides is truly a gift, to create stunning images as the model or as the photographer or as both is undeniably remarkable. Nicole has the knack of being in the other side of the lens posing, she's one of these gals "that the camera just loves". Not a lot of gals can pose in front of camera without any makeup but Nicole does it almost all the time and look absolutely stunning.
She loves animals, any kind....literally, she incorporates her love for animals in photography. A visit to the zoo, a walk through the park to capture animal shots. Nature shots also sprouts left and right in her albums with flowers and various landscapes, putting her "eye" on these images can create truly lovely photographs. She has always been involved in photography ever since I met her but it all began with our film camera that we still have and an old 0.7megapixel Canon that she borrows from me. She takes pictures and at that time it was good considering the limited equipment she had. Since 2006 that I started getting more involved in photography, she express her interest on it too, with better cameras she borrows from me, it was apparent that she has the vision needed to create masterpieces. And with her own set of lenses, various cameras and other photographic tools there would be no stopping her, with a more technical approach and the confidence images of remarkable beauty are created. Not the mere "pictures" but now artistic photographs, I've been out shooting with her and there are photographs she creates that just inspires me as an artist, and in a weird way I am the one that has been guiding her through this artform technically. This is to prove that photography is a large part of pure artistry, an "eye" and the technical knowledge comes second.
